What an idiot!!!!! Matt you’re truly a fool! What if a riot breaks out bro, you don’t have enough police power to deal with the crowds?!? You’ve made belmar very unsafe for us residents!

Where were the police? What crowd control courses were taught? Proactive not reactive.

Where were the police? They were on every east bound borough street redirecting traffic onto other bumper-to-bumper blocked streets…away from the beach. Outcome – Belmar residents were banned from driving to Main Street merchants, mail-boxes outside Post Office, the ATM at Santander Bank, or even picking up a pizza or having it delivered. Sounds silly, but it felt like a curfew was declared when the Mayor decided to “close Belmar.”

Wow, scary. Town was just overrun this weekend.

Definitely need a new venue for the festival, somewhere out of town.

The residents deserve a safe environment. Belmar was not safe for kids this weekend

Unless the event added so much revenue to Belmar that would significantly reduce debt or lower taxes, SHUT IT DOWN! We are very lucky no one’s home burnt down or some one died because emergency people and equipment could not get through. This is no joke.
