“A guarantor would not normally appear on a mortgage document.”

Matt knows that. He used to sell mortgages.

1 – He tried to sell mortgages, like all of the other careers that he tried. I guess he is now trying a real job, that is if you call a hand picked political patronage position a job.

    Exactly he would know that.

And the fact the plaintiffs added that in their claim is HUGE, it’s not something they would throw out there for a tabloid affect.

But you would think his wife makes enough $$ to hold her own.

If a document showing an office of Chef’s as a guarantor for the Mayor’s mortgage, it is over… That would be very compelling evidence… Hopefully this document can be produced….

  6. Having read both the complaint and this article I find that a lot of the issues raised are criminal. If true, the fact that Doherty secured a mortgage from a developer and liquor license holder in town means he should go to jail. The police dept and former chief are corrupt as well as the council and business administrator. I hope some responsible law enforcement agency investigates this. My family, friends and neighbors are sick and tired of all this negative publicity brought to our town. It will not be forgotten come November.

The document should be able to see if Chef’s is a straw buyer, that is illegal or is it money laundering??

Someone should notify channel 4 or 7 news investigative reporters. They dig deep.

Like I keep saying, I believe everything in the complaint… But proving all this will be very difficult, unless they have compelling evidence…. Furthermore they can be putting thier other business at risk… There is an old saying, sometimes its not worth being right….

#6- Well it won’t be the MCPO investigating him. He keeps giving them life after retirement jobs. Maybe NJ State DOJ. Oops, he just got a job with the state. FBI’s too busy reading facebook and some Russian thing. The Harmons’ will settle out of court and the taxpayers will be footing the bill. Case closed. $2M paid by insurance. Taxpayers will pay for lawyers and increase in insurance premiums.
