At least we know that Claire is okay and doing well….haven’t seen her post here, was worried
Interesting lineup on the dais: the two council members up for re-election and a mayor with clipped voting wings. What is a lesson here, besides highlighting the good works and charming personalities of Magovern and Blackburn? Business cannot be conducted without a quorum, in other words, the administration cannot “do their jobs” because of obeying the pay to play rules currently in effect. I would guess that the whole scenario was staged.
Vote NO on September 27th. Having ethics is not a bad thing.
I agree with 2. We NEED mo’ ethnics in DJAIS. I like the UNTIED colors fo BENTON if we gonna get CHIX from all over NJ AND NY to come to BELMAR BAYBAY!
Claire ( a so-called teacher of public school children) expressing the need to suppress First Amendment Rights, to protect the “Mayor’s girls from free speech critical of their father’s work as a politician is just so priceless. After a year of colleges protecting students from being upset by non-politically correct anything, She is the problem and not the solution. Claire, may I recommend you move to Putin’s Russia, this is the United States.
Colleen must’ve known they weren’t going to be there since she is missing as well and usually is the one running the show. Or at least informed enough to answer most of the questions.
Colleen will really run the show if Magovern becomes mayor upon Doherty’s departure, because he “don’t know nothin'” except “what is best for Belmar whether it is legal or not”. And he will let the former councilwoman rave on, God help us. Rules of order – what’s that?
This is nuts we haven’t had a meeting with all members present since what May ? How do the get away with it ? Have the FEMA emails been released yet to Joy ?

To those people who are so outraged about the protesters putting the mayor’s children at risk for emotional harm during the fundraiser at his house – if indeed the children were at home, of course, and if he already had been alerted about the protest by April or Colleen, why did he not have the babysitter take the kids to the movies or mall or somewhere out of the fray to shield them? Seems irresponsible of him and his wife. What did they expect? People playing pattycake? I think DD wanted to create a situation to complain about and make his critics looks like terrible people. The mayor should not bring politics home if he wants to live in his idyllic world without criticism and harshness.
