Blood is shooting out of my eyes. Why I am not surprised by the revelations via public comment regarding how the Harmon’s and their builder and attorney have been treated by:the Mayor, C. Connolly,Andrew Huisman and Zoning it does reinforce that everything is now political and every agreement will result in a law suit.
Personally, Roger McLauglin an established mediator has been and was last night too nice. Brian and the gang were as always cowards and incapable of doing their job as elected officials. How long can this travesty go on? I am no longer embarrassed but outraged and angered.
The night is darkest just before the dawn and I promise you, the dawn is coming.
The Harmon’s ain’t the best tenants in town but at least they aren’t corrupt, power-hungry mongols that feast on the common folk like Mayor Doherty and his minions. Stand up Belmar and take it back from this injustice.
What’s going on with Belmar now arbitrarily roadblocking/interfering with a citizen’s ability to earn/run a business in town? Atty Roger and Developer clearly set down a fact pattern of obstruction by Belmar against the Harmons and Loco. Talk about lawsuits? This one sounds personal. Also sounds like those individuals who deliberately obstructed would not be covered by Belmar’s defense carrier.
When the elected branch of local government is negligent in their duty to
investigate the actions of the administration they become party to the offense. Atty. McLaughlin made sure they
were aware. They will be defendants in a lawsuit. Magovern can recuse himself all he wants. Nicolay can claim ignorance and Blackburn and Brennan can claim they were not on Council for the original agreement. So what? The obstruction has happened on their watch. The legal defense insurance carrier will continue to cover and we the taxpayers will continue to pay for the mayor’s vindictiveness. They could have settled Darren Vitello and deRouville cases for a fraction of what has been spent in legal fees.
The Harmon family need recognition not disrespect from Belmar carpetbaggers Their families and their employees as well as the economy are being forced to suffer because of the Administration in Belmar? We think not. Politicians puke

Dont get me started about the 2 pocket liqueur licenses in town.
Does Councilwoman Blackburn, as a member of Belmar Housing Authority, and one who has admitted reading the list of petition signers and seems to hold them in disdain, have the authority and power to deny housing to those people?
#5, likewise, Mr.Schneck’s bringing up the campaign donation matter puts the information on the public record, alerts the press and informs the council members about something that appears “fishy”. Doing a Sergeant Schultz from Hogan’s Heroes “I know nothing, nothing” will only take them so far. Notice how they were squirming around in their seats during that episode. Make ’em sweat, I say.
Lets call this what it is Matt is getting heat from the 9th Ave pier guys who I’m guessing aren’t happy about another bar on the water and who I’m sure have given some $$$ to Matt and he is putting the brakes on it.

Excuuuuuuse me, but I can’t help but notice from her comments in the Coast Star today, as well as her comments Tuesday evening that the true authority, the top of the food chain, the supreme ruler is none other than our business administrator. Matt can be on vacation for the next 3 1/2 years. No more Ms. nice guy. It is about time all the heterosexuals sit down and shut up.
The B.A. does have an air of authority about her. The newspaper reporters must learn not to go to her for the last word, as she spins matters according to the mayor’s direction, I believe. BTW, I do not dis people according to their sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc., but perhaps only to their lack of integrity, in my opinion.
Is there going to be another special election for the construction of pavilions?
I would like to comment on the results of Unnaming and renaming the Marina. It was a sorry event. THe Marina was named after a man who was a Senator and the Marina would not have been there if he had not worked to get it there. I feel for his family who are still in the area and must be wondering how and what. Does this now mean people who have no idea what the history of this town is can undo everything they want and redo and rename what ever doesn’t move. My sympathy to the Sterner family who worked in this town who helped people in this town and apologize for the ignorance being shown to them.
The Coast Star states Colleen Connolly is worried about the specific plans of the Harmon and LOCO project. Really?
WHAT ABOUT THE SPECIFIC MARINA PLANS, THEY CHANGED THEIR PLANS FROM A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING TO A GLORIFIED SHACK WHERE DELIVERY TRUCKS NO LONGS CAN TURN AROUND IN THE PARKING LOT AND MUST COME DOWN MAIN STREET AND GO UNDER THE TUNNEL!!
And speaking of the marina what is happening with that. The mayor is on his own there and it still is not built, no petitions, no small element protesting. Where is it. Are they waiting for us to use the 6 million that we need to spend on Maclearie Park and fix the infrastructure for Chef’s, before they start building. Did the mayor make a deal and is he going to bond 6 million for the park but really help Chef’s?
What’s it all about: I’ll do for you if you do for me. All that’s needed is enough to wet the beaks. Just a taste. Guliani, where are you? Louie Freeh? Anyone?

Are there any fulfillment requirements and/or language within that would prohibit competitive businesses within certain distances of other businesses even if they were already planned and approved?
Janice’s comments regarding the bike safety study may be related to the town’s plan to narrow highway 35 (in Belmar) to a two lane highway.
They did that from Belmar south with a turning lane and from 3pm on its a night- mare. I didn’t know a pilot license made you an expert on everything. Re: bikes, scholarships, federal housing and anything else that comes along. I wonder if being mayor is the out come of all that knowledge.
#24 the only restriction would be in a strip mall for example if a liquor store were in there first they could put in the lease that the landlord cannot lease to any other retail establishment that sells liquor. Family Dollar in Neptune was not allowed to sell milk and eggs due to Stop and Shop being there first, so Family Dollar is moving on 35 where Wonder Bread was, now they can sell milk and eggs.

Let me spell it out to you: I ONLY RESPOND WHEN I’M NAMED OR REFERENCED ON THIS BLOG…how many times do I have to state this?..check some of the comments on this blog under fake names-terrible comments are posted about others…why? Because they can get away with it because they aren’t truthful about who they are..and don’t give me that “fearful of retribution” stuff-if this were true, then comments could be posted in a more civil way..in disagreement to whatever without getting nasty-nasty remarks prevail due to anonimity…it’s like ….let me really zing this person-lie about them, put a negative thought out there…and I’ll get away with it…to quote Mr. Creamer, I think THAT stinks!
I would like to trust Belmar elected officials …. but, find it difficult when their Democratic Committee is “For Sale”.
Not so, Mr. Creamer, not so….in case you didn’t understand my original message-I know of no impropriety with donations to our committee…I must compliment you, however…you use your actual name-you have the courage of your convictions and are brave enough to identify yourself..not like the cowards who post under fake names-back to my first thought…..I’m not “for sale”…you have no proof of what you claim
