Belmar needs a boat ?!!!
Possibly the most idiotic thing I’ve heard. By the way people,it’s not free. I like Campbell’s assessment that it needs “some work”. NO boat ever needs some work- boats always need work ! Good thing is once it’s running he can take the goats for a ride.
Maybe someone can answer this…Why is the head of public works discussing something that was obtained for use by the police department ?
I love the end. You go from Gene’s well thought out lucid comments to Brendan’s dumb/
read “comment.” I think the Marx brother’s could have used Brendan in their skits.

Maybe the town will use the boat to shuttle D’Jais customers between their two locations.
Brendan will not be the reader of mushy love letters to the mayor and praises to the establishments that control Belmar when he has to endure the noise of the late-night drunken revelers who stumble from the bar near his apartment that may probably spring up there in the near future. Flowery love letters get you nowhere when the lover who is courted and praised is unfaithful.
What has the council done for Belmar lately? Any new programs? How about some positive news?
Perhaps the mayor just wants to be a “captain” of a boat, LOL.
What is this about the Coast star article that hotels cannot have residents more than 30 days?
Didn’t read the article yet but I thought belmar used to be 7 days .in any case places like the Belmar Inn get away with having guests stay all year long simply by supposedly moving them to another room.They also would have to actually monitor the registrar by either code enforcement or police .who is going to pay or really enforce that?there needs to be a big change in how guests become permanent instead of temporary!
