Look at 2:30:00 of the video. Magovern is adamant about having a developer build a free municipal building. He is still claiming we are getting tax dollars from this development. It’s frustrating to see how clueless he is. Please vote him out.

Quite simply: a vote for McGovern is more of the same. Same BA. Same redevelopment attitude ( its FREE ). Remember they told us Taylor was FREE too.

Mark Levis seems to have a bit on the ball. I was impressed that he held his ground and voted no on that motion to table the dumb tent/canopy baloney.

As I understand from what I heard, the motive to table is to have more time to “negotiate.” The lawyer, a seemingly smart and informed person in his area of expertise, (maybe naive as I think he believed the former mayor), senses there may be some of that “wiggle room” that Brian referred to a year or two ago as a councilman. He gave me the impression that the borough may lose bigtime in this suit and face a huge payout, (another opinion of mine is that for some reason, the former mayor had it in his head to screw the Freeze Out guys, like the Salt guys). And unfortunately Mr. Cannon seems to trust creepy Colleen. The attorney may have integrity – why did Doherty not fire him? And yes, give Brian wiggle room and he will get lost.

The 10th ave people were NOT afforded the same ability to operate as the Exit 98 people. Same pre-season lease, same resolutions passed yet there was not trailer and the Exit 98 containers remain.
They never even returned their building security (a building destroyed by Sandy) according to the suit.
But at the meeting they are making about a CANOPY!!!!!

What I don’t understand here is the discussion of the litigation at a public meeting. Throughout the 10 plus lawsuits ( I’ve lost count)whenever a question was a asked about a lawsuit the mayor and council and whatever attorney was present, would claim they couldn’t comment because of litigation. And here they went into in-depth conversation.

I agree Katrina. And the 10th Ave people weren’t even able to defend themselves. My guess is they know the screwed up and are going to have to pay. And it makes the plaintiffs seem like the unreasonable ones if it was “just over a canopy.”
