How dare you confuse Brendan with logic Jim.
Is this Belmar or North Korea with its supreme leader? Now the Mayor, Business Administrator, and Borough Attorney run rule over the polling places? What ever happened to the rule of law?
That was an awkward exchange. No specifics as to why Joy was escorted out.
All district voting locations were consolidated to the municipal building because of the Sandy emergency …. the emergency is over …. restore the former district voting locations and eliminate municipal employee meddling in the election process.
Vote harvesting nationwide issue, ripe for abuse.
“If I have collected your ballot, I could do the honest thing and put it in the mail for you, or take it to the clerk’s office and drop it off — or I could look inside, open it gently, see how you voted, and if I didn’t like it, I could make some changes,” said Ms. Marks. “Or the other thing I could do, if I don’t like the way you’re voting, I could throw your ballot in the trash can.”
In a Denver Post op-ed, Ms. Marks urged voters not to turn over their ballots to strangers. Secretary of State Scott Gessler has asked voters to give their ballots only to people they know, and to verify afterward that their ballot was received on GoVoteColorado.com.

Being the Belmar town council is also the local ABC board, (alcoholic beverage control). How are nightclub or tavern employees, or owners of any ABC license allowed to harvest votes, and hand deliver to Freehold? This would seem like a huge conflict of interest.
Every where you turn in Belmar there are conflicts of interest due to the favor flavor of the borough council.
That DeSanctis woman needs to do a better job of getting her thoughts together before she speaks in front of the council. She might have some legitimate gripes, but she’s all over the place. Doesn’t make any sense half the time.
