I applaud the new BA for taking the necessary action stopping commercial vehicles parking in municipal owned parking lots. I also agree with the woman speaking out about restaurants abusing the outdoor dining ordinance by taking up too much space. The new piers at Flames is ugly and unsafe. Way too close to traffic and light poles causing a dangerous condition for pedestrians. Half of 10th Ave Burritos outside bar is on Boro property. Why? The noise outside my door is too much!

What borough ordinance says that the roofing trucks can’t be parked in the municipal lot or in front of your house?
Who owns the white van in the same lot that has been parked there for the last eight months and appears to never move?

There’s an ordinance against parking commercial vehicles in residential neighborhoods (overnight). It’s like speeding though, not enforced.

Scofflaw: I believe you are referring to ordinance #19-16, which was revised in 2011. The revision allows those roofing trucks to park on any street in town.

There will be an ordinance coming now! And there should be. Those trucks look trashy.

I have to recind my applause for the new BA. The roofing trucks remain in the municipal lot at 13th. Now there’s a large commercial enclosed trailer also. Apparently a lot of talk and no action. What about the 20+ public parking spaces promised at the 10th and RR monstrosity? Will there be a sign going up to let the public know they can park there? Or is that more BS too?
