Good catch Mr. Schneck. It was interesting watching the mayor squirm when you inquired about the beer distributor changes for the upcoming festivals. Uhhh .. the marketing company makes the decision …. uhhh .. I told the marketing company who to use …. uhhh .. the new distributor distributes Beach Haus Beer .. yeah, that’s it, they distribute our local breweries beer. Man Schneck, you almost got me on that one!

Trying to make sense out of the Kapalko ( Loko) Motion vote. Brennan states he like townhouses there, then votes NO. I have never understood why an independent/autonomous SeaportRedevelopment Agency needs any votes or permission from the Council and or Planning Board. I do know that 16 townhouses instead of businesses with housing above violates and runs counter to the plans called Seaport Redevelopment. Not one knucklehead on the dais commented on this elephant in the room. p.s. Josh Vallario should know that Mayor and Council only discuss current lawsuits in closed session. Dah!

Jennifer voted yes in 2014 on the 2 phase plan to have the tiki bar for 3 years and then the permanent building with retail and even a bar. Then last year she voted against the formality of moving the Harmon’s license there, saying Belmar “doesn’t need another bar there” or something to that effect.

Now that the Loko partners want to have an option not to have retail or a bar there she should have been happy but voted against that too. Doesn’t make sense.

Also, it seems Brennan should have recused himself on a decision to allow Loko not to have a bar there since having a bar there would be one more place his band could potentially play at.

Correct me please if I’m wrong: Using Master Brennan as an example, wouldn’t it be in his personal interest to recuse himself from voting on any businesses that comes before the Council, where he could, within 3 years of his vote, be prohibited from working/playing?

The 3 years would be how long he would be banned from voting on certain matters if he took an unallowable campaign donation.

I feel sorry for 17th Avenue residents looking at that monster utility pole …. after 5 months of inaction …. Monmouth County Mobilite had plenty of time to sell the pole to Verizon who does have franchise rights to keep it there.

Again the town is costing us money, the utility pole was put up and questioned were asked later. How does this happen? So now we have to waste taxpayers money to legally have it removed. UNBELIEVABLE

Like everything else in town, what does Mayor Pinocchio have to gain from having the pole there? I doubt that there are midnight pole erectors who just install such things unknown to anyone.

What was that nonsense about Councilwoman Nicolay leaving the meeting because she was moving? Why did she leave at that moment when an ordinance affecting taxi cab licenses was about to be introduced for public hearing? Maybe it is because she violated Belmar’s Pay to Play Ordinance and would of had to recuse herself and step down? She couldn’t stay another 5 minutes? This meeting was like a game of musical chairs.
