To answer your last question. To ensure the longevity of this wonderful blog! Where else would you get non commonsense statements and funny comments that have nothing to do with the issue.
You know !!!! last year when I read this and had serious reading problems, I thought it said “touch a track”. So I went out and almost got creamed by a freight train.
There are 2 mil-surplus D8 bulldozers parked at the north end beach close to the fishing club …. last Thursday morning, their engines were heard on C Street.
which way to watch, when, where and how? who’s on first doesn’t think there is a need to schedule traffic specials at the ocean crosswalks on Saturdays or Sundays. Could it be that the schedulers figure that their own overtime pay might be have tobe lowered f they gave more public safety jobs to help traffic flow?
I don’t know why we have these castoff military vehicles. We could get a man (I know one guy in the DPW who can use a torch – I’m sure there are more than one, it’s not rocket science) with a torch and cut them up and take them over to the Mazza junk yard in Neptune and get whatever the going rate is for steel. Whatever we get is better than having derelict vehicles sitting around making the town look like some sort of dump.
maybe they are being reserviced by the recreation department?I’ve seen many teens crawling all over them at night. is there an ignition key hidden in the DPW? If so, give it Fanny since he’s retired and unclouded.
#15 They are use in the winter to build up the beach to help deter the erosion, unfortunately they don’t have a trailer to bring them to the yard, they would chew up the street if driven back on the streets

Just what is the meaning of stocking up on this military junk? Are we going to attack Avon or Spring Lake? It’s all just a dumb eyesore.
Just to show off and say we have it. And so that Individuals who run our DPW department can have toys to play with and on Boro time!
Ridiculous! This small town does not need military vehicles and it gives a vibe like they are expecting a riot.
How much does it cost to maintain these huge vehicles a year?
Macho posturing.
#6 I guess you never heard of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.
the field hospital is set up between 1st and 2nd Avenues on the beachfront. bivouac this baby!
Where is Hawkeye and Pierce and Radar?????
Hawkeye is the Mayor, Pierce is the Business Admin, and little Radar is DPW Director.
So APPROPO. Hilarious, keep ’em coming because we need to exhaust ourselves laughing every day for exercise.
Where is the group picture of the Union workers and the apprentices????? What a bunch of PHONIES!!!

It is just plain creepy. Reminds me of getting ready for a post-apocalypse body clean-up.
