Did Chefs Cook Up Our Pavilion Plans?

A little back round:

Once a publicly traded company, Chefs International was taken private in 2005 by the Lombardi Group of Edison, NJ (our mayor’s home town).

The Lombardis are a highly successful family of doctors, dentists, lawyers, realtors and political contributors:

I see that among the beneficiaries of the Lombardi largess is Edison mayor Thomas Lankey, who just got in some hot water for accepting favors from his (and our) town attorney, Bill Northgrave.

Here’s an interesting coincidence that I’m not sure what to make of:  Robert Lombardi Jr, son of one of the Lombardi brothers, is an architect with the firm of Sonnenfeld & Trocchia.

They are the outfit that was hired by Belmar and paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to create our ill-fated, pie in the sky pavilion plans.  (Or was it golf in the sky?)  They also designed the latest plans for the marina building that, judging from the comments that have been submitted to my posts about it, nobody seems to like very much.

Another Sonnenfeld & Trocchia drawing horrible, zero imagination. These guys are bottom barrel hacks, they should stick to drawing firehouses for the woods in Jackson.Clearly they must be very good at writing checks for people running for public office.
