Completely off topic and I apologize BUT: the amount of dog feces on the beach and on the sidewalks of town is completely unsanitary and ridiculous. There is zero enforcement. People are completely irresponsible. Unleashed dogs on the beach is a major issue too. Would love to see some leadership/enforcement from the town and common sense from dog owners.

#2 haha!Y call Linda Sharkus? The town should be enforcing dog rules. Dogs on beach should have a designated area, and never off their leash. People are pigs that think they can leave poop all over town from there animals and not pick up. I say call the state environmental commission to write tickets . It is unhealthy and gross and shouldn’t be allowed. Ask at the next meeting.

Perhaps the town can monetize the dog feces issue by taxing by the load?

Dogs off the leash and poo-poo everywhere are standard for Belmar.

#2 and #8 Thanks, I’m here to help! As one of the block captains, I am happy to assist in reducing the pet issues, from barking to pooping. The police can’t be everywhere and the community policing program was meant to help reduce these kinds of problems. If you have an issue with a neighbor or someone you see not picking up, please provide info and I will confidentially try and have the person become more aware of the laws or reach out to your block captain.
