I think it is a Freudian slip cant say more.
How many ways can “PARTNER” be used in a resolution? …. I count four (4).
Looks like “somebody” forget to update the last proclamation that was for “Freedman’s Bakery” which was located at 8th & Main.
No, Cathi, the address is for Connolly Station who is also being recognized Tuesday for their greatness.
Oh I see. The info applies to D’Jais but the location was not changed from the Connelly Station proclamation. Got it.
Let’s not forget to honor them for being so involved with election process here in Belmar.
Get ready for the year round license people.
D’Jais is being recognized for not being identified as a source of contagious disease for 2014 …. In 2013, more than 25 cases of the mumps were traced to the partner establishment …. stay away from the marshmallows.
Geography isn’t on the top of anyone’s list.
Just another indication of the idiocy we see in everything daily. No one cared enough to proof read the thing and even if someone did, they’re too dumb themselves to see the glaring mistake.
Step one is to overcome the legal issue to allow a “for profit business” to change the zoning to year round liquor sales. Prove the change benefits the town. So here it starts as predicted. I personally could not live in Belmar without the assistance of free marshmallows from D’Jais. I feel these marshmallows and small monetary contributions fulfill completely the necessary benefits to the town and clearly outweigh any negative changes that might occur. Truly I am overwhelmed with happiness for the millions in profit they will receive.
Well if year around can happen, then, Midnight closing of the bars can happen, if you cant get drunk enough by midnight, just start earlier!
This is pathetic, Frank and co cost us more in police each summer than a case of marshmallows and a few cases of water.
It would seem our Clerk has corrected the above proclamation: Unfortunately most of the resolutions and all of the 3 ordinances are now gone. I hope she saw the resolution with Claire’s vote
space sans Janice.
D’Jais spews drunks out to the community enough as it is. Year round opening is not desired.
And yes, the drinking should end at midnight. This could cut down on all the 2-3 am shouting and raucous behavior near DJais.
How can an establishment that now requires 3 to 5 police officers to stand guard & babysit and also has dozens of ambulance calls each year be a partner or benefit to a community? This is insane and an embarrassment that the mayor and borough council actually support this kind of behavior. What planet is Belmar really on these days?
Typos-Why am I being referenced in your commentary?
Whoever prepared the agenda for tomorrow night listed you as one of the councilpersons to vote instead of Janis. I saw the same mistake made a couple of months ago too.
Thanks for the clarification….
When you think of the money it takes to run the whole operation it has to be possible that they might know who is on the council and who isn’t. No wonder we all ask why. Pitiful.
I wish the Borough Tax Assessor thought D’Jais was a valuable asset …. He reduced their property value assessment $225K for 2015.
The taxes they pay was supposed to be the justification for all the overcrowding, rowdiness and parking problems that commercial development brings to Belmar. Yet most commercial property tax bills went down and mine went up!
