No, sounds pretty much like they’re bending over backwards for the developers. What’s the point of having a deadline if you’re going to disregard it. The developers missed it, done deal. We put out an RFP for a redeveloped municipal building. What we got was anything but, plus a one or two page plan for a muni building in another part of town. I don’t even know a single person who’s in favor of this ridiculous plan. Once again, the residents are disregarded in favor of dollar bills.

#1- Correct. Apparently the backdoor negotiations with these property owners, one being a plaintiff with a large, credible law suit pending against the town, have fallen apart. Too many shenanigans going on here.

Not i but i am in agreement with #1. Not in favor of this proposal and it should be off the table. Leaving it dangling per Mr Dasti’s advice seems to me to be a recipe for trouble. With counsels advice it should be possible to adopt a properly couched resolution that puts a dagger through this proposal that is now not timely without risking litigation[for what?,they did not meet the standards]. This of course takes the Mayor at his word that he is not bending over backwards for them.
