One thing they’ll be hearing about for sure is the planning malpractice that resulted in Barry DePeppe being allowed to build a three story monstrosity that blocks motorists’ view of the bridge from anywhere on 5th Avenue.  It is now impossible to see if the the drawbridge is open until you are already in the middle of the intersection.  The result is that all day long you can watch drivers who were planning to turn right to go over the bridge suddenly turn left onto Main Street from the right lane of 5th Avenue when they discover at the last minute that the gates are down.
