Can you believe a resident of Belmar is bringing a law suit against his own town? Especially a friend of Doherty?! Is this one “frivolous” too?
I know of at least two other beach front workers who lost their jobs-one for standing up to a speeder on 12th Avenue, and one who signed the pavilion petition. What about those long time employees? How about the 17 year old who was told she had to be 18 to work as a badge checker yet there are 16 year olds holding the position. Most likely because their parents didn’t sign any petitions or behave in an “obstructionist” manner. This is exactly the type of retribution that people are concerned about in Belmar. Ever since I signed the pavilion petition and had the guts to express my disagreement with Doherty’s many plans for Belmar, he pretends he doesn’t know me- EVERY TIME I see him. Most recently, when I was the only person walking down K Street during the flooding on Highway 35 and he was driving right towards me. It was broad daylight. I waved and said hi but
again, he pretended I didn’t exist.
I applaud Mr Druz for his courage. Everyone should be in contact with him in some way to let him know that there are people who will Stand with him, that he is not alone, and offer him any thing we are able to in his support.
Inappropriate behavior warrants a police report. I guess it will be another back dated reported generated because the suit became public. If he was subject to arrest from the allegation Connolly better get her act together and be ready to provide some documented facts. Harassment by the town administrator and DPW Director is also a crime.
Suing this bunch of clowns is easier than taking candy from a baby. We all should sue them and sue them personally for their total disregard for honesty and lack of fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayers. Who do they think they are?? They are NOT above the law. They keep losing lawsuits you would think they would straighten out, i don’t get it they like getting sued.
If I had the energy I would move to South Carolina. But at my age I’m moving to a much nicer place in the not to distant future.
Don’t know you #2 but I would be glad to have you in my “family”anytime.
I have so had it with Belmar’s shenanigans.
#5 IT’S NOT THEIR MONEY THEY DON’T CARE AND NOTHING EVER REALLY HAPPENS TO THEM.
What kind of insurance premiums are we, The People, paying?
#3 why are you so quick to support Druz??
The guy is being accused of some freaky stuff and I would take Kevin O’Donnells word over Druz any time…
On July 30th Druz was informed that multiple complaints were filed by young female employees about inappropriate lewd comments and one inappropriate sexual contact..according to the lawsuit..I would hold off on applauding him for courage..
Well then he should have been arrested not asked to resign!
Kevin O’Donnell is the last person that should be making allegations and should look in the mirror.
He is a friend of the mayor’s, he is a democrat and he has donated to democrat campaigns – and he still got fired.
Makes me think that he probably did what he is accused of.
So maybe he did harass someone.
Maybe they did tell him to resign as to not embarrass the mayor right before the election
Maybe he was led to believe he could be hired back the next year if he played nice nice.
Maybe they really see what a detriment he is to the image
Maybe he gets hurt and angry becuase he got kicked off the team.
Maybe he’s trying to go civil rights to bump it up past Monmouth County because some players may have influence there.
Maybe we the people will be paying for all of this when they settle.
Put a bunch of fighting cocks together in a ring, and there will be a lot of blood and feathers flying.
I think I know this guy Kevin. Seems like a nice person. The others not so much.
