The only fishermen that will be hurt are the ones that follow the rules. The other group of individuals destroy the fishery for everyone else.

This fluke limit might have a real impact on the Charter Boat Industry in Belmar. As I agree to “protect the fluke’, there must be a better way to allow Charter Boat Captains, that depend on the fishing industry, a better balance on catch.

It seems that the only winner from this is the new Chefs International. I’m pretty sure they would like nothing better than to rid themselves of the Party Boats. The fishermen fill the parking lot up early in the day and stay until late at night.

Support the Belmar Party Boat Fleet!

Our fishery equates to big dollars, and when there is that much money involved, coruption is present…. I dont want to point a finger but just use your imagination of what occurs on a regular bases out on the open seas…. Our better yet do a goggle search and again being imaginative and you will find the answer to why the fishery needs to be saved….

The size limits for commercial fishermen are much different than The 18 inch limit for recreational anglers. A recreational fishermen has to go to Klines and spend in exorbitant amount of money for a summer flounder he is not allowed to harvest himself. A guy with a rod and reel can barely make a dent In the fish stock.as soon as commercial fishing of striped bass was made illegal due to pollution their numbers skyrocketed.
