Whoa. Whose been signing his checks? Perhaps his boss or bosses should also go to jail or be fired for mal/misfeasance. Where does this buck stop?

With the backdrop of so many tragic nightclub fires in Calif, Rhode Is. and NY, Belmar residents have long worried about the Belmar Fire Marshall’s decision to allow D’Jais to increase its capacity to over 700 partiers, up from 300 or 400 a decade ago. We certainly don’t want a tragedy here. Are we 100% certain of the fire marshall’s integrity and honesty?

Somebody should be held accountable for signing his pay checks. Isn’t there a job report attached to his “voucher” for payment? Drain the swamp !!!!!!!!!

How could the mayor profit from a neglectful/absent fire marshall?

#5- I truly hope you are being sarcastic and are not that naïve. Here’s how it works. I agree to hire you for a NO-SHOW job. You, in return, agree to place $200 cash in an envelope and leave it under my door-Matt every Sunday morning. The issue becomes sticky when the FEDS fall upon the scheme and you are not tipped off of their knowledge, as may have happened had it been a local jurisdiction doing the investigating. Go crawl back under you rock.

Another view from under a rock: Crowd an inordinate number of people into a bar, bar makes more money, more payback to you-know-who. Meanwhile, hope there is not a fire and anyone does not perish, then there would be an investigation and heads may roll. Now take this little “settlement” and go away.
