The Mayor could have chosen to become the most accomplished leader for our town. Instead he decided to smoke and mirrors the “no tax increase scam” and increase our debt by 120%. He has a reputation as a drunk, a dishonest person and a highly partisan hack. The town is in shambles for the summer season, which we so much rely on for tourism. Mayor Doherty’s legacy will be one of regret and debt for our town. So sad, but no sense feeling bad, because the Mayor does not feel the least bit bad about his reputation… he is just a Political Tool.

Is it true Matt is thinking of replacing the Doughboy statue with a 30′ tall statue of himself mounted on a 15′ base and having his birthday made an official town holiday and having the code enforcement officers threaten the local clergy to hold services in his honor on his day and his life’s story taught at BES with a special award given out in his name to the student who writes the best essay honoring him, etc., etc., etc.?
