Stop the insanity! There’s nothing offensive about the school mascot/logo.
Political correctness is going to be the downfall of our great country.

Solution seems simple. Keep the name Warriors, and lose the cartoon drawing of the Indian if it is offensive.

This is what is happening in the corporate world. HR running seminars informiing employees how to act/what they can or cannot do/say. Perfect example what is occurring on college campuses.

I am offended by her use of “class of 2013”. I did not graduate high school and the author pushing her privilege and accomplishments in my face is very hurtful and intolerant.
Ridiculous……why does everything have to be made out to be such an issue, whats next no more santa claus. A mascot is suppose to help bring the team some spirit, a warrior is a brave and experience fighter, perfect for a competitive sports team. If the image of a warrior as an Indian is offensive to people, at most maybe consider a new logo, a warrior does not have to be an Indian Chief, their are plenty of experienced warriors out their or symbols to same. But really how fun is it to say the “Student Athletes from the Town Located at 40.01137° N, 74.0376°W”. Seems like this letter is from someone who was not very school spirited to begin with or was not in any type of team activity. Maybe everyone should figure out away to help the school system on getting kids back into the classrooms safely in the fall to ensure everyone is getting an opportunity at their education and not falling further behind.

Being of Irish heritage, I am very offended by the Notre Dame mascot and Lucky Charms Cereal. I cannot even leave the house during the Belmar Saint Patricks Day parade as it reminds me too much of the brutalities inflicted upon us by the British. Waa waa waa.

What I heard about Indians is they were some what nomads. Would go to a place cut the tress , kill and eat the animals, urinate , defecate , ruin the place and go onto another area. The were not conservationist at all. That is what I was taught in school back in 1937. Before WWII.

Interesting, in all the years I worked with Indian guys, I never heard one of them whine about this type of thing. The only “difficulty” we had with each other was the concept of us Pale Faces being better Ironworkers than they were or them better than us. But there was always mutual respect for the work we all did.
This is unrelated to this post but can someone please tell me how Red Bank Regional cancels their graduation because of one positive COVID case (which I do not disagree if others were exposed) and yet Manasquan has 15 positive cases and they still go ahead with their graduation?
