Seems like all future borough council meetings should just be held in Judge Gummers courtroom.

Another loss for Lawless Matt how much more wasted money will Belmar residents tolerate. Matt thinks he is above the law. We will see.

Mayor Matt constantly says things like “who sues their own town?” What the real question is, is, “why do we HAVE to sue our own town?” The answer is simple. We have a Mayor who continually rejects the rule of law, whether by ignoring them, or trying to change them to his own advantage. He uses OUR money to try and defend his actions. So when he talks all this nonsense about not raising taxes, he fails to talk about how much debt he has put us in, or shamelessly using tourism dollars to plaster his face all over for his freeholder run. He ignores our Pay to Play laws .He openly scorns anyone who doesn’t go along with his self serving policies and our council blindly follows along. How many lawsuits have THEY lost? 4? 5? 6? How many petitions have they disregarded? Sorry I’m losing count. Our business adminstrator is found not credible in court and they still follow her lead.
Those who think Matt Dorehty is this great guy doing wonderful things for Belmar, I ask you to analyze the FACTS and not the rhetoric.

PS. And why did THEY cancel the council meeting? The next one won’t be until the day AFTER the primary. Is it possible they did that so no one could stand up and publicly question our council members about the FACT that “lawless Matt” has campaign contributions that go AGAINST our conflict of interest/pay to play laws, that were ordered by THE COURT to still be valid. Food for thought

Does this ruling have an effect on the actual bond vote or is the result still standing?

Katrina “Shamelessly use Tourism Dollars” you point to a very recent and minor infraction. I would say you touched the tip of a very deep iceberg. Fact is that when Lawless Matt appointed Mary Brabazon ( illegally )as the full-time Tourism Director, paid for illegally-salary, benefits and pension , illegally by State and Local ordinance, the funds that come from businesses in Belmar for supposed tourism end up being used for just whatever they want. SO don’t get me going.

Tourism has never accounted for any monies that they have taken from all the businesses in town for how long they have collected the monies
