What do all 3 mentioned above have in common? It’s not that hard to figure out. Besides being superstars in their own minds…..they are leaching copious amounts of money from the tax payers in addition to the hefty pensions they are collecting….go figure who has more dirt on who?
So do other towns not have traffic lights because they don’t have “connections” to Monmouth County and don’t have access to the services of an electrician?
Well that answers my first question I had for Brennan on the zoom meeting about the misleading “confidential assistant “ position given to the incompetent acting chief Huisman. I wonder what the state thinks about an unlicensed electrician hot wiring traffic boxes? I also assume that he doesn’t care about the free boat slip Boatgate involving the other two. Brennan will not be re-elected. Vote for Jerry.
Very foolish insider, jumping the cue, self aggrandizement shown here.
A way above dumb statement number one. I’m sure you could have contacted a licensed electrician to perform the task. Shows your absolute above average desire to hire your “buddy”.
Ditto!#4
It’s called doing your job!
Is Drew Huisman even allowed to do this work ?
My comment applies here as well:
There is a story that goes something like this, simplified: a drowning man treading water was praying for God to rescue him. A boat came near to help but the guy refused the help, saying that he is waiting for God to help him. Duh…what is wrong with simply being thankful for help in whatever guise it appears? Nitpick and gripe all you want out of hatred for the current administration, but I am grateful for the actions by these guys.
This must be Brennan’s idea of pre-damage-control prior to his lockstep yes vote to hire Huisman.
JCP&L was working non stop to get power restored. It would be irresponsible to suggest otherwise.
How does this work? He can start working prior to Council vote approving of the hiring?
#4 Aggrandizement is the perfect word for all these clowns! #9 -This is definitely a preemptive move by Mr. Brennan to try to shine a positive light on some overpaid borough employees. He just lost my vote – among many others. Do we really need someone to repeatedly “ask” JCP&L to come? Agree with you, #10. That whole post would be laughable, if it wasn’t so deplorable.
#10 JCP&L spent plenty of money for updates after Sandy. I think their updates weren’t good enough.
13 – As a note, JCP&L made those upgrades after being approved by The Board of Public Utilities to pass their costs onto the rate payers.
Good point #11. How can he have started working without this even being approved by the kangaroo court?
Brennan’s only saving grace to get re-elected was to denounce this hiring and say he is looking into the free boat slips for all escapade. He has not done so and will not be re elected.
#3 SCAM – who are the people who allegedly benefitted from free boat slips at the Marina?
#3 I agree vote for Jerry.
Anchor Man. Boatgate free slips: Huisman, Poff, Kirschenbaum, Campbell And Palmisano. All involved one way or another.
The borough has interlocal agreements as well as agreements with the county emergency management that you use during times of crisis and storms like the tropical storm that just passed. This has nothing to do with inside connections or anything of the sort. Any municipality can call the county for assistance like sign boards, lighting, law-enforcement – realistically anything they need – that’s part of municipal emergency management and county emergency management agreements. nobody really did anything special don’t let Tom Brennan fool you.
Did Belmar violate NJ Labor laws by letting our friend work without workman’s compensation insurance? This should be asked at the next council meeting. We should also pull Drew’s time card to see if he was paid for this day as well.
# 21 That’s is an above average intelligent question we should ask at next meeting.
Nixon – some of those names sound very familiar related to the Salt lawsuit from the Harmons. Many ways to cost us money.
I love the new 10 foot high illegal privacy fence djais, has with tenting for their corona raves, big crowd last night waiting to get back there. #covidcentral party on. Know one can see the non social distancing with tents and a 10 foot high fence mr. Brennan.
I would love to know who decided to allow an unlicensed resident to jerry rig a State of New Jersey DOT traffic signal thereby exposing or town to a host of legal issues and more lawsuits. That, my friend Mr. Tom, should be grounds for firing. #byebyetommy #voteforgerry
If Belmar workers were provided free slips that should be taxable income at both the state and federal level. Is is possible to opra emails related to boat slips with the person who managed marina at the time to see if workers were offered to use the slips at no charge?
Oh, what a tangled web they’ve woven.
You should all make sure you join the “Belmar/Lake Como/West Belmar Residents” Facebook Group. A lot of your favorite ‘bad actors’ are all there in one place and we take them on regularly. It’s a group made up of local business owners and residents exclusively. Eleven-hundred plus strong and growing. They can no longer ignore us.
Grow a pair and take them on in a public forum like our Founding Members and concerned residents do regularly. Take a look at the “updates for group members” topic section and read the “1000 member update” first and you’ll be believers. 😉
#24 you are right. Where is Code Enforcement on this issue? Code Enforcement is always in Frank’s corner. Just ask Frank and he will tell you that Djais still owns the town.
Allegedly connected to Boatgate and also named in the Harmon Salt lawsuit against Belmar are Andrew Huisman and Robert Poff.
#27 Welcome to Belmar, Hudson County south.
Maybe they should’ve just given him a different job at PD, some special assistant position, so he could help with DJai’s and alike. This article is why I haven’t been out since the beaches opened. https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/08/packed-mask-free-lines-outside-jersey-shore-bars-are-the-scary-coronavirus-party-no-one-needs.html
This isn’t the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy where tourism & Mayor were “Come to Belmar, we’re open”. There’s so many disregards for the locals who may be immunocompromised and living their best lives here by those BENNYs. Shut down the bars and rentals because no one seems to care about anyone more than themselves. And before he says anything, yes, sexist old man Dilberger, I’m a woman.
Who is watching those whose job it is to uphold the law to make sure they are following the law themselves.
Belmar always making the news for wrong reasons. https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/08/packed-mask-free-lines-outside-jersey-shore-bars-are-the-scary-coronavirus-party-no-one-needs.html?
Run for your lives, the sky is falling!!!
#34 this is what profits over people looks like. Cash is king. The elderly Djais owners are in a high risk category based on their age so I hope those fellas are wearing their masks.
The Djais Fencing Encampment is a joke , did this get town approval? Simple question should be easy to answer . Did they require a variance to the fence height ? Again should be simple enough. Did they have a Building inspection Before / after or during Construction? If the answer is no to all then why is it Permited ? Let’s not even get started to an unlicensed electrician working on state DOT equipment, what if his fixed failed and as result we had a traffic accident with a fatality? These are serious questions that need to addressed. If they have time to come up with a phony job for One if there own than this should should easy.
Djais 10 foot high illegal privacy fence with little room for air and a full tent over it to keep the prying state police eyes off their raves. The place is a bunch of greedy old men, who dont live their indoor castle, they wont even walk around the property when patrons are there.
No air there, and huge lines and noise all weekend.
#38 don’t forget about the cozy, exclusive basement area with no prying eyes. Even less air down in the basement!
Djais is in constant violation. Power washing of their porch, patio and sidewalks on Saturday and Sunday at six in the morning. Noise and music which can be heard all the way out to the waterline. Did Frank get approval for the giant old Djais sign to be be placed in the back of the parking lot? Where is the Shush Patrol which is a condition for Djais to operate their liquor license?
Whereas the knuckleheads in Seattle had their CHOP and CHAZ zones with no police or enforcement of the laws, Belmar has the DAZ aka the Djais Autonomous Zone filled with knuckleheads where there is no enforcement of the laws.
40 – Don’t hold your breath on anything changing. The D’Jais folks have been controlling Belmar politicians for years and have been giving cold hard cash to state politicians.
41, Belmar police receive complaints about the various goings on at djais and the cops there who are paid by djais simply advise the owners of the complaints. All hail the sandcastle man who walks on water.
FBI, CIS, VFW get candidate Jerry to ferret out the scoop
#43 Saint Frank of the Blessed Djais!
#40 – Is the shush patrol for all around town? Is it just for people leaving the bar? I’m always hearing noises for deliveries too.
#46 the Shush Patrol was put in place to keep anyone in the vicinity quiet but telling them to shush. Mind you most of those in that area are coming and going to Djais.
