Oh, but didn’t they say they were confident they would have no problem getting new lifeguards. Guess you shouldn’t have messed up the awesome team the beachfront had in place all these years ! Why don’t you all admit your wrong and hire them back before we have some real issues happen down there. That is unless you want to put on your red shorts and help out! Oh I forgot there is only a handful of you, we need dozens of lifeguards!!! Hire them back!!

Vote these bums out. Admin what does one need to do to change voting status to Belmar if you spend more than half the year living in town? How many months before the election do you need to change?

We need to stop reporting on how many guards are on the stands otherwise day-to-day life will only get worse for our rank-and-file lifeguards.

I believe everyone should call the police to report a lifeguard stand without a lifeguard.
We the people should demand the services we pay for.

Hey JFM. This is the reality created by Doherty, Connolly, McGovern, Huiseman. Pure evil politics. They made this bed with all their lies now they by have lay in it.

Reverse picketing is allowed in this blog. Put Lifeguards on duty on the stands or close beaches that don’t have guards. Visitors don’t know rules. The crowds will go into the water in the rain.

Did anyone need lifeguards this weekend? Any lifeguard who needed to make saves this weekend must really struggle when the job gets hard.

Weekends like this past one are the perfect time to be a lifeguard. Cold temperatures help the water police themselves. It seems that the consensus of this board is that the rank-and-file lifeguards are ‘underpaid’. Why not let them enjoy longer breaks on a weekend where safety shouldn’t be an issue?

Plenty of lifeguards are on-duty even when they’re not sitting on the stand.
