NJ.Com has published a report on town by town police use of force. I’m sure it doesn’t account for the fact that 3/4 of the people arrested in Belmar are intoxicated at the time of their arrest.

Most of Belmar’s officers have one or two or none at all. Seems like Steneck and Yee by comparison do have sort of a lot.

Bad Hombres? Not here. Only 5 out of 158. The rest are white men (with the exception of a few white women and a couple black men).
Jam enough people into one overly small space( or line them up along the side walk) ply them with alcohol, add loud thumping music and you have a recipe for violence!
And Aileen, it doesn’t matter the color of their skin, their gender or or ethnic background.
Interestingly, I’ve never seen newspaper expose/reportage on Belmar’s history of the walking dead/deaf, drugs, porch abusive cat calls, blasting-deafening noise, mayhem, screaming FU Tonys, vomiting, fighting, urinating, fornicating, vandalizm, women abuse, drugging, destruction of rentals, destruction of property, theft, ear splitting noise and blocking sidewalks, driveways on werkends. Tourism dollars!

This video is the type of thing that goes through my mind when I look at our police officers and think of force. I think many officers are not up to the job (mostly not their fault – they’re not trained well and many times led badly) past the idea of giving a ticket to a law abiding citizen as you see in this video.

Interesting I’ve never seen newspaper reportage on how police are out there protecting the citizens from batterys, thefts, assaults, violent vitriol, spitting, defiant trespassing, vomiting, attempted sexual assaults, stopping screaming drugged, drunken slobs who urinate/defecate in the street, sidewalk, containing ear splitting noise from drunken slobs on porches and garbage strewn lawns, struggling the FU Tony screamers from awakening your kids, unblocking sidewalks and driveways, protecting garbage cans on beat the clock night,
