“No Financing Available!”

Mad Matt’s Used Car Sales

He’s practically giving them away!

I dropped an old TV off at recycling yesterday and spotted these.  I presume they are the trucks that are to be auctioned as per the Council resolution passed last week.

I was really surprised at how many of these things we have.  What did they think they were going to do with all these?  (There’s another one out of view of the camera and even more over in the Dumpsey Park parking lot.)

Making room for more townhouses? No maybe an outside bar and grill. You can actually see he has something up his sleeve. Yes I smell a rat.

Can they not be melted down and turned into something useful for a “Beach Community”. When they accepted this “gift”, they certainly should have anticipated the salt water exposure. Didn’t they?

They should merge the DPW with Lake Cumo move the DPW to Lake Cumo and have Lombardi build another bar on the site.

#2 – I suggested a while back at a meeting that they get a DPW guy who can use a torch and cut all that junk up and load the pieces on a trailer and take them over to Mazza in Neptune and get what we can for scrap. Of course, they all just stared and didn’t comment. That’s what we get when we elect such inexperienced people. They’re all just people of the spoken and written word – Have never put their hand to actual work in their lives.

#4 Tom no municipality has experienced people but at least they have common sense, no pun intended. When a Mayor and Council are told by a Judge you violated civil rights, i would have expected a sorry folks we will try to do better. What you have as Mayor and Council are a bunch of egotistical nuts that continue to do what they want until a Judge tells them otherwise. Stay tuned the big Federal request to dismiss is coming up soon i betting the Judge will deny their request and they all will go to trial.

#6 – ask about how much it cost to get those vehicles here, just to watch them rot! Nine of them were registered for the road so there is more proof that that just sat.

These were a waste of Federal tax dollars which at present most of us have to pay. Belmar only got a small portion of the total waste of uneeded trucks and Humvees. As far as the Town goes, if we sell them for what we put into them then no harm no foul. I guess somtimes it’s easy to get carried away with FREE. I just don’t want my town to be featured on an episode of hoarders, so it is wise to cut our potential losses and get rid of them.
It would be worse to hold on to them so this is a good idea.

Seriously, Why couldn’t the Town use them to trolly people to various locations to alleviate some of the parking problems.

Comment #9 none of those trucks are from Lake Como, the only thing they had was a Hummer. This kind of thing is why Belmar is under investigation and indictments are coming down the road.

#16 They will not settle out of court and if they win, the gang probably will get indicted, if and when that happens watch the gang trip over each other to be first in line to cut a deal and testify against Matt.
