Manasquan School Bonds Defeated (Again)

Yesterday’s special election results:

ELECTION

According to an APP story, the 1st bond was for “15.5 million worth of infrastructure improvements in the schools, including new science labs in the high school” and the second “for a new multi-purpose turf athletic field costing $4.9 million”.

(It’s still hard to believe that the voters of Belmar approved $4 million for an oceanfront political clubhouse.)

Did only Manasquan residents vote on this bond?

I don’t find it hard to believe at all. The priorities in Belmar are atypical of most towns or cities in the U.S.. A great example is toilets, public restrooms. With people in the east peeing on lawns and people in the west peeing in the Shark River ( have no idea what ladies do )… sure build an exclusive club house. I’M done with the voters here. Really missing my planet!
