Maybe They Mean The Color Of The Curtains

This morning’s front page of the borough’s website:

If you click on the image you’ll go to the “send us your ideas” page.  There you can see all the suggestions that were made last year and ignored.  Also ignored is the results of last year’s special election.  The pavilion ordinances that will be passed on Wednesday are for the exact same buildings at the exact same price as the ones that were rejected by a 57 to 43 plurality last year.

Bundled pork legislation is what Washington pols practice. Now Belmar is copying the “I’ll do this for you and you’ll do that for me if you want anything passed” mentality. No different is the latest scheme of tying the already granted available funds for the Lake Como outfall pipe to the 5th Avenue pavilion. Streetscape project is already funded as well so that doesn’t need to be added to fixing the perilous flooding of Lake Como housing. Start the Lake Como remediation without encumbering the projected with pavilion pork. Start the 10th Ave pavilion and streetscape right now. Don’t wait until September. Don’t lie to Belmar just to bundle the projects for your personal benefit(s). Hurricane season is here now through November. Trying to hold the SEA group hostage is not going to work. The north and south are now against you.

Just read the suggestions for pavilion construction. Loved the cedar creek timber frame vision. Bear creek her very has one of those buildings. It’s beautiful, functional and withstood hurricane winds. Think Martha’s Vineyard. Obama and company loves those structures

I would have preferred a Jennifer Code Blue message …. instead of the B&W knucklehead scare tactic letter we received …. it would be cheaper and green.
