Gee am I not permitted to buy these products elsewhere? Suppose I go to say Bloomfield/Newark and buy beer. Can I bring the beer back to Belmar or is it forbidden? What if I get caught drinking a Corona on my porch that I purchased from Cape May? Now I’m so damn confused. By the way who the heck is he to forbidden anybody to do anything?
Wonder if that’s a form of discrimination ? Are all vendors at the seafood festival union ? On what basis is the mayor banning them on ? Don’t think vineyards are employing unions so does this mean no wine either ?
Shore point pays a hefty payment to be a part of this festival and has contributed to rebuild Belmar campaign. Betcha they want their money back for this year if they can’t sell beer and being blackballed by the leader of our town
So I guess if the owners of salt were union it would be a different story right? Let’s get them open and to work despite the back door deals made w chefs or anyone else to not allow the transfer of liscence across the street. Matt is so pro get back to work for seasonal employees and he can’t support the local people which follow the redevelopment agreement to build an approved site and location to open business and employ people. Now he’s pro union and make sure u stop buying these types of beer and beverage a distributor distributes ( not owns) and his word must be followed. Wonder how the call to the harmons went regarding this
Pro Union???? Tell that to the members of NJPBA Local 50 when he laid off 10 of them, only to hire 5 of his hand picked replacements at the bottom of the pay scale. Why don’t you try doing that to the teachers of Belmar, starting with the band/music teacher.
If the beach haus were to step forward it could help promote more chaos and noise on what’s not really a busy enough block in Belmar. Does anyone notice it’s not really busy at the brewery ever? There are much better local breweries out there that would be a better choice or better yet instead of having booze at the event figure out a way to get these people that infiltrate our town to go visit the local “blue collar hard working people” that work in Belmar at the eateries and local taverns instead of constantly coming up with ways to help anyone else that comes forward from the outside. Maybe the free beach day for jersey city people we hosted last year has a contact for some more Hudson county influence in Belmar or I am sure chefs international probably has a “win win” plan to tie it into the marina monstrosity. Contrary to Mayor Doughertys chest beating about blue collar this or that and supporting them ~ he’s the complete opposite of his words
Mother’s Day madness in Belmar. Move the Seafood Festival to the Monmouth County Track. They run all events in a professional manner and Guess What? They have PARKING$$$$

From the bully pulpit handing out carrots or sticks. What was his oath of office?
Where is Smokey and The Bandit when you need them!
Maybe I will put an ad in the north jersey newspapers to boycott the festival.
I see another lawsuit in the Mayor’s future.

Is Chefs International union?

#10, they didn’t give him any $$$$$ simple as that!
I guess they get a $20,000 refund as that is what Shore Point pays to be there!
Is the Beach Haus Brewery taking over the beer tent at the sloppy seafood festival?
Maybe he should make it a dry event. That would cut down on the chaos
