There is so much wrong with these executive orders that is hard to keep up.
    1. Changing the rules prior to three different elections.
    2. No checks and balances on who receives mail in ballots. Our voter roles are outdated. I personally know if 4 people who are on the list but not eligible to vote.
    3. Sadly our post office can’t even get my mail right in one square mile. I’ve lost count on packages and mail which isn’t sent or received correctly ( and this is long before any changes supposedly made at the federal level this year)
    4. What is the criteria for being “ disabled”. How and who bears a burden of proof. Not to mention I as a healthy individual can’t choose to follow social distancing guidelines, mask up and vote in the machine but possibly comprised individuals with disabilities can?? Makes absolutely no sense.
    5. Those drop boxes!! Who monitors them? How often are they emptied and by who?? Now that Murphy slid in that ballots can start being counted 10 days prior to actual Election Day???
    6. Counting ballots with no postmark?
    7. Dr Fouci says no problem with in person voting. So I guess the science only applies when upholds Murphy and the Democrats opinions?? Or political power.
    8. Who monitors how many ballots an individual puts into those drop boxes? 3 is the legal limit for messenger ballots ( filled out and signed properly by voter and messenger, so there’s another sna foo). How do they prevent voter fraud there.
    9. This argument is getting redundant but it is no less true: how is it that we can go to supermarkets, restaurants, Costco gas stations etc, potentially exposing “essential workers” ( mostly lower wage earners by the way).
    10. THESE RULE CHANGES ARE INCREDIBLE. EVERYONE REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY SHOULD HE APPALLED.

No one does dirty elections better than Democrats. Murphy is a disgrace.
This election is going to be a joke.
Make sure you drive to Freehold and hand in your ballot. Even than I’m not sure it will be counted correctly if it’s for Trump.

Our Republicans elected officials are cowards. They can do more. The Mayor could put the voting booths out in Belmar for those that feel voting in person is more secure. The County could give direction to allow voting in person. They could defy the Governor, in the name of a free and fair election. But this would mean taking arrows, being criticized, maybe even getting strongly worded letters from the Governor.

If Belmar could pay for all of the special elections, they could pay for this one. If the Mayor\freeholders\Assembly people wanted to get voting machines out, they could do it. It would take a little planning, but in the name of providing their constituents with a free and fair election, they would be rewarded. Instead just complaining on this blog and lawsuits.

The Atilis gym owners have more courage then any elected Republican in Monmouth County.

Mayor Walsifer wouldn’t even put temporary speed bumps out in front of the senior building after a resident was struck.

Sometimes your constituents are worth the grief from the State.

#6. Well said. This town should step up and do the correct thing. I’ve been taking plenty of aspirins worrying about this topic.

Jim you may think it’s wonderful and brave and easy to defy this executive order? what happens when those votes aren’t counted or the courts don’t consider those votes valid? Are you going to assure our votes will be counted. How? To say the Republicans in Monmouth County and our Mayor can defy a state wide order is irresponsible of you. You’d be the first to publicly denounce them if Your vote gets tossed.

My vote will probably get tossed anyways. At least going in, signing the voting book, and voting at a machine gives my voice a better shot of being heard.

And it is wonderful and brave, but not easy (I did say there would be arrows) to stand up to an executive order, especially when the EO steps on our rights like you stated in your first post.

Why elect leaders that allow us to be stepped on? Your first post reads like you are extremely upset about the NEW voting process. Guess you will just sit back and take it.

Please don’t say that you are voting to change it. The Governor has taken that right away from us. The person that handles your ballot after you decides if you vote or not.

I AM very upset about the EO. I myself am bringing my ballot to board of elections. So are many others. I to believe the machines are the true safest way to vote. BUT unfortunately the REPUBLICAN lawsuit against the EO is the only option at this point. I just do not agree that our elected officials should become revolutionaries.
