How convenient to call an emergency meeting so it can be held when most are not available. What is the Emergency?

Maybe he will abdicate? Taking plenty of aspirin prior to going. Could be appealing the Judge’s decision on the special election. It can’t get any worse.

WOW! What an exciting town, what an exciting MAYOR! We Belmar citizens will never be bored with a leader like you!! We promise to stay on our toes and GET to this elusive meeting….you wild and crazy guy…..never ceasing to surprise us with your puzzling but friendly encounters. Even when you seem to be confusing us, we know your aim is to keep Belmar fun!

Those naysayers will be there I’m sure, but I know you’ll say things like “heck” and “against Belmar’s recovery” and we will turn away from their naggy “facts”. See you Friday.

Oh, Oh…. I wonder if you’ll mention the conspiracy that is creeping up in the form of citizens asking questions at meetings? I wonder if you’ll highlight some of the brave Belmar souls (who love you so dearly) as being victims of those nasty, unthinkable, against-Belmar’s-recovery naysayers…you know, those “profiles in courage” like you’ve said before. I hope to bear witness to a great speech like that once again. Just a thought. I know you’re a busy man these days. Bless you.

Why don’t we know why this special meeting was called. Just stating that the agenda will be posted, doesn’t satisfy the Law.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Every public body must publish its meeting schedule by Jan. 10 or within seven days of its annual organization meeting, whichever is later. A 48-hour written notice must also be given for any regular, special, adjourned or unscheduled meeting giving the time, date, location and as complete an agenda as known at time of notice. The notice must be prominently posted in a public place, usually in the municipal building, and delivered to at least two previously designated newspapers.

Month after month of the “Lawless Matt” attacks, but Matt still wins. He and Maggie and the heads of departments and commissions sleep soundly, Why? Without any referendums to force him out for “unlawful acts” ie: a legitimate recall, Matt and Maggie, Colleen and Mike, The police, you name it smirk as they deposit their checks for “service” in the bank every two weeks. AND SO IT GOES. If history repeats, the likes of a Brian Magovern and a Janis whatever-Blackburn will continue their disservice to their neighbors. With NO AUTHENTIC POLITICAL OPPOSITION in the upcoming election, count on more of the same. Speaking of authentic political opposition, are Mark Walsifer and Josh Vallario plants for the Dem machine? Sure seems like it.
