In the print edition of today’s Coast Star (they’ve already corrected the online edition) the outrageous suggestion that the police be required to write enough tickets to cover their salaries (500 per year) is accidentally attributed to me instead of Neil Scheck. Anyone who knows me knows I find the whole idea of ticket quotas to be abhorrent and a total assault on our civil liberties.
I’ve been assured a correction will appear next week.
