This tiny town is getting a bad rep.
How about a year where all the council meetings are held on the date originally scheduled and where all redevelopment is put on hold.

Better yet how about using our system of government to effect change? No that would be too hard. For years now ( and this November is another example), Just one more Council vote in opposition will shut the corruption down. In short a Walsifer and Newbie No vote would prevent certain ordinances from passing. For weeks now, I have heard many lame excuses for not running against extreme leftist councilman Yes Vote Brennan. After years of showing up at council meetings and challenging the status quo of corruption…these folks are now too busy. Does anyone really think that Vallerio could win? Does anyone think if elected he wouldn’t soon be part of the problem and not the solution? Never ask for whom the bell tolls? Not running makes a mockery of your past 8 years.

My research on Vallerio after meeting him two years ago when he changed his poltical affiliation to Republican and scrubbed his facebook in order to run for Council is his motive for running and his total lack of knowledge, as well as involvement in Belmar politics would result in the opposite type of councilman that we need. You sir attend not only Mayor and Council meetings but school board meetings, You not only stay informed but speak your mind and, write letters to the editor and protest. Vallerio is your polar opposite since he cares more about ;looking good and what others think of him. His moral compass is too similar to Matthew J. Doherty’s. Like Doherty, Vallerio is all manufactured image. Currently he, based on my research has reinvented himself. Not that he’s a bad man or anything like that. All I am saying is he’s not what he pretends to be.

#6. Old Man in case you haven’t noticed those in opposition have given up and the remnants of diversity are done, past tense.#2 Fubar Belmar is no longer a “tiny town”. Here is what happened. Early in the 1990’s Kenny Pringle orchestrated a change of local government referendum. Between the study and the vote, Belmar residents voted for a strong mayor weak council form.
Kenny then passed redevelopment. Fast forward Maggie Moran and her hubby are invited by Kenny and his wife to set up shop in Belmar. Belmar was too small a venue for Maggie and Matt, so Belmar had to be made bigger and more important and the marketing began, the “rebranding of and redevelopment of Belmar. Maggie reached out to ex-Corzine buddy Colleen Connolly to run the PR machine and then it happened. Super Storm Sandy the gift that keeps on giving to the mayor and wife. The Belmar we know NO LONGER EXISTS. For those still hanging on, the price for the reinvented Belmar and its powerful mayor will need to be paid.
