Getting an education.
With many high schools closed for spring break, this is sort of a rush week for college open houses. As the father of a high school junior, it’s now time to figure out which would be the best one to teach my daughter all sorts of things that aren’t true.
Wednesday we took a day trip to Drexel University in Philadelphia. Nice school. She liked it. Yearly tuition is more than my take home pay. Maybe if they would only taught her half as many things that aren’t true it might be more affordable.
Yesterday we took a short 12 hour drive to University of Rhode Island and then to Syracuse, NY.
To me, Rhode Island seems like a real bargain. Tuition is a third less than Drexel and it seems they teach a lot more stuff that isn’t true.
What I’ve picked up so far is that capitalism is destroying the planet and oppressing every living creature on it except white male human beings.
Anyway, we’re off now to Syracuse’s “information” session.

Gee, just when you thougth it was safe to dip a toe or two in the college -bound water:
David M. Dooley ( History ) made quite a stir when he called for the founder of the N.R.A. head on a stick.
I know your daughter will just love Rosa Maria Pequeros she can learn all about Latin America, Jewish Feminism and Lesbian Activism. Maybe she could major in how the founding fathers loved their slaves from Marie Schwartz
including how to birthin babies.
Sleep Well.
Subject: Just as I received it. Interesting comments…
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.

The second term of Barack Obama will be the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest Republic in the history of mankind.

The Cocker Spaniel is off the front porch. The Pit Bull is in the back yard.
The American Constitution has been replaced with Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and Chicago shyster, David Axelrod, along with international Socialist George Soros will be pulling the strings on their beige puppet to bring us Act 2 of the New World Order.
Our side ran two candidates who couldn’t even win their own home states, and the circus fatster, Chris Christie, helped Obama over the top with a glowing “post Sandy” tribute that elevated the “Commander-in-Chief” to Mother Teresa status.
(Aside: with the way the polls were run, he didn’t need any help!)
People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will never again comment on or concern myself with the
aforementioned coalition which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired.
You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the rights we have allowed them to take away.
It will take Zealots, not moderates & shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status.
Those who come after us will have to risk their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to “white guilt”
and political correctness…
An American Veteran…………………..
Semper-Fi .
Joe…putting “interesting comments” does not give license to passing this off as someone else’s rants. Either you endorse what he is saying or you don’t. Signing it “An American Veteran” is further propaganda, for how dare someone disagree with someone who has served our country? Calling for “individual acts of defiance” and rallying zealots is the right approach? Hopefully you and the other readers see through this letter as it is nothing more than not-so-veiled racism wrapped in the flag.
I don’t know nothing about thin veils. Whenever I say something, no one is ever in doubt about my meaning. Just take this for what it’s worth from a Marine and don’t be reading things into it Mark. Take care and have a good evening sir.

Joe,
I appreciate your calm and measured reply. I suppose the point I am trying to convey is that just because this guy was a marine does not give credibility to such racist drivel…here’s just one…”Obama will be the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males”….c’mon now, please…I’d laugh if such comments weren’t so scary.
Hi Mark
Would it be racist to say that gospel, jazz and blues were the legacy of black men and that popular white musicians like Elvis, Buddy Holly and the Beatles were the final nails in their coffins? At least musical tastes are not dictated by force.
While I think the fact that the founders were white is irrelevant, I believe the Christian respect for the notion of free-will was an important factor in the development of their and our political beliefs. And I have personally observed that there are a lot more men that believe in liberty and feel liberty is important than there are women who do. I’m sure it was true a couple of hundred years ago as well.
Remember that the people who wrote about liberty spoke about it only relative to white men. Most were slave owners. This is moving the main point and that is the marine that was the author of the originally posted piece comes across as a white supremacist racist that is lamenting the melding pot that is the US and has been for over 150 years….visit Ellis Island and see how the immigrants were viewed at that time….
“A coalition of Blacks, Latinos, Feminists, Gays, Government Workers, Union Members, Environmental Extremists, The Media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the “forever needy,” the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other “fellow travelers” have ended Norman Rockwell’s America.” Really?
Mark, the founders were products of their times, just as we are of ours, and it’s not fair to apply our modern understanding of human rights to them. I always say that a hundred years from now people will say that nothing we did had any merit because we murdered animals and ate them.
While the founders laid the framework for human rights and a just society it was up to later generations to perfect it, such as applying it to all people.
The principles they espoused of self ownership, personal responsibility, property rights and the idea that we are citizens and not subjects are under attack from the leadership and many members of the groups Joe mentions. Personally, I don’t have any problem with any group or individual until they start telling me I owe them something and they are going to use the government’s guns to take it from me.
BTW, Rockwell felt very strongly about civil rights. Who can forget “The problem we all face”:

Also BTW, I didn’t like that Joe called Obama “beige”. That was not necessary.
Mark, It seems you’ve made your point, you’re insulted. What else do you want?
To go any further with this is to [Protest too much me thinks].
