Make no mistake about it. The one reason and only reason this is being done is because 4 square block mayor Wilton recently bought a house on 19th Avenue. He does not want the west bound traffic going down HIS street such as taxis, ubers, etc coming from Djais. Yes, 19th ave does not go through to main st,never has, which will make it theoretically a barely used street unless you live there. I know for a fact Wilton has had conversations with Huiseman about this. More political BS.

NEVER believe a word that comes out of Colleen Connollys mouth. She hopefully will be fired soon.

Carefully read the Coast Star notice about this meeting. The only reason the Boro posted it, as required by law, was because Council members may be there. Per BA that’s it just a meeting (it has no teeth, it will to no where).

#1 so true. Wilton tried and failed to make 19th a one way Eastbound starting at B Street to Bradley Terrace. So two-way traffic didn’t go in front of his house. 18th and 19th shouldn’t be going in the same direction. The Numbered avenues should be East one block and West the next.

I saw this late last summer and I couldn’t figure out why 19th was closed off via Ocean Ave around 7pm on a friday. I asked a police officer and his reply was “I have no idea, I just do what I’m told”

DOT intervention. The wheels are being turned as I type. Traffic Study narrowing streets causing liability issues exposing Belmar to 3rd party litigants. AO.
