The Republic thanks you. It is important for all voters in Belmar to understand that these outside special interests have more say then you and I in our local government. I am registered as an independent- we are the majority 1300 strong. If this was a Republican administration, I would have the same naegative feelings.
Outside Union money. The fact is nobody cared! Without Djs influence the results would have been very different. The little grassroots group trying to swim upstream against that was an effort in futility.
One question? Why just those few bash for cash tickets? If some of them were considered contributions why not all?
Also any update on the legislation about mail in ballots?
The Bash for Cash was an expenditure, not a contribution. I’m going to look into the messenger ballot thing when I get a chance. I’m supposedly on Declan O’Scanlon’s email list about it but haven’t heard anything from him on it lately.
There you go. Couldn’t help to notice you don’t report all that evil radical tea party conservative PAC money pouring into the Belmar Republican Committee!
Sorry to see organized labor victimized by Belmar politicians …. I doubt their hard working membership would spend money in this town …. after being ripped-off.
The IBEW got a measly $300 refund …. that money would be better spent supporting public television …. like channel 13.
Let’s call out more of Mr. schmucks hipocracy. “Political donations are a form of free speach and therefore must not me restricted”

So admin why do you feel they should be restricted only to the party that opposes you?

Typical wasteful spending, just like our current federal government.

Shhh! I’m trying to keep all that Koch bros $$ secret.

Correct Gene, I never liked my Union laying down with politicians/dogs. Cozying up to politicians was the worst thing the Trade Unions ever did.
