Police Officers are staying out of dodge because of how wide spread the virus is. The Police are no where to be found.

If you compare now to back after when Sandy hit, you’d be threatened with a summons if you were to close to the boards. Cops want nothing to do with this virus and are limiting public interaction.

This is a Public Safety issue for everyone.

I think it’s a pleasant thing to walk on the boardwalk but I don’t see being kicked off the boardwalk as a problem. Just walk somewhere else. Walk down at the water’s edge where the sand is packed. Also, walk to the store for a small errand and back (use different routes there and back). Walk to Manasquan for a cup of coffee, etc. This is not rocket science.

    “limiting public interaction”
I don’t know how much more the police can limit their interaction. They seldom emerge from their cars as it is. The police must be the greatest Esports people in the world. They get all that time to sit and practice.

Unless you lived here and saw the numbers of humans congregating on the boardwalks during the Covid-19 spread; the adage begs “ask me no questions I tell you no lies”. Walk on the sideWALKS you selfish, self important so and sos.

It should be a rule that all married couples must hold hands when walking together, no exceptions or excuses. Even those who just got through with telling each other with a stream of hideous vulgarities how much they hate each other. If they decide to take a walk afterwards, they too must hold hands. If caught disobeying this rule, the officer is authorized to handcuff them together for the remainder of the walk.
