Eat it Belmar. Elections have consequences.
If I wanted to eat at a Texas roadhouse, I would drive to one. I like being a beach town but if we are stuck with it, I hope they play county music! I got my Harley ready to roll.
I guess the birds won’t come near it either.
Looks like another sucker-bet lost by the residents of Belmar.
How can we fight this, its like promising your someone a Rolls Royce and handing them a beat up Chevy! This is our towns property they are downsizing,Let them down size and pay the town the 3 million they are saving on a smaller ugly building.Chefs wins Belmar loses!Lets see the mayor spin this one on the town council.
For me …. the public notice includes a revelation:
“This review/approval is also being sought on behalf of the Borough of Belmar as a review of a capital project pursuant to 40:55D-31.”
Where, “pursuant to 40:55D-31” means that the proposed project necessitates the expenditure of PUBLIC FUNDS!
This deal sounds like more of what Belmar taxpayers need …. MORE DEBT.
It’s awful and now will cost taxpayers money.
They promised to build a much needed first class catering hall and a small bar, now its just going to be a noisy pick up joint bar, with loud outdoor music.
