Well I’ve been out walking a few more times since the last time I checked in. I really wish I had time to do more of this. I do enjoy it. (I may keep doing some of it even after the election.) But with a full-time job, a long commute three days a week and two teen-aged daughters I have a lot more demands on my time than the other three candidates. Anyway I’ve been going to all registered voters and this is what I’ve been hearing:
People want quieter streets with fewer parkers.
People want a better school.
People want the flooding fixed.
People are not happy about the debt.
Most people want our old pavilions back. A significant number of people, however, wanted to leave the beachfront the way it is right now. They like having it wide open. One person wanted Matt’s plan, I guess. (I’m not really sure. He closed his door in my face.)
And people want to let the citizens decide. (100%, when asked.)

People can want a better school all they want, but if they don’t go to the school board meetings and raise cain, they’ll just get more of the same.
