Will There Be A Debate?

Its Highly Debatable!

Actually at this point its looking rather unlikely.  The Chamber of Commerce generously offered to host a debate and Tom and I enthusiastically supported the idea.  The Chamber emailed the other side several times about it and never received a response.

I’m pretty disappointed about it because I love debating.  Whenever I watch a debate I always wish I was in it.  I would never want to be president but I would die for the chance to be in a presidential debate.

Damn.

I brought the subject (of a debate) up with one of our opponents last evening after the council meeting. He said that he was unaware from their party chairman that any invitation had been extended. I too am a bit disappointed. I feel the Democratic candidates need to express their individual thoughts on the issues. To date we have not heard from either of them on the issues. A debate would have allowed for this exchange of ideas and thoughts. I’m ready.

They won’t debate unless the mayor is allowed to participate to tell them what to say
