   I was on the beach in April on one of these hot Monday’s when a drone flashed very low over head. There were a lot of people on the beach that day. I don’t know about rules or regulations prohibiting it, but whoever was operating that drone was very careless and put the beach goer and public at risk of injury. So Mayor if that was you, or the the borough that bought one on our dime, I would appreciate if you stop flying over densely populated areas, exspecially our public beaches.

   Not much good can come from the use of the drone in Belmar, especially if you know who is operating it, excluding capturing a robbery in action or someone smoking crack in public. It is all too “big brother is watching” for my liking. Imagine “Doherty and the Drone” – watch out, people of the element.

   Finally found what the henge thing in Belmar was: Poem Henge, poems mounted upon discarded refrigerator doors, an installation to celebrate the Fall Equinox, through the Belmar Arts Council. Maybe some creative folks can organize a Summer Solstice celebration at the current “henge”.
