$4,000 is a good fine. But in most cases fines don’t work. Judicial punishments should be in the form of community service, possibly with fines as well. Just paying a fine to so many of these young people isn’t the answur to so many of the quality of life problems we have in our town.

Well said Tom. According to the NY POST article he was sworn in Dec. 11 2017. He has a previous history and clearly hasn’t learned any lesson, except the one if you mess up you get rewarded. This young man is lacking guidance from his father to set him straight and respect the world and people around him.

I believe people should be given a chance. Mistakes are made and lessons are learned. This “man-child” however doesn’t seem to learn. Consequences since 2011 don’t appear to have helped. Reducing alcohol exposure in Belmar and Lake Como would at least be prevention of this type of “guest” causing damage to residents.

Most of Belmar’s problems stem from the over consumption of alcohol. Time to think about closing down the problematic bars.

What if the kid was drugged has anyone thought of that. It’s not normal for that to happen to someone. Has anyone thought of that. Think about it if that was your relative.

#12. Shut up is such a Great point old man. Clearly you know so much much about this kid. Where you can say he has a history of these things. I’m sure you have never had any times in your life where you made mistakes and were given a break.

#9 – What if the kid wasn’t a kid? What if the “kid” is a 28 year old, fully grown ADULT!!

#14 – What do you mean. He’s still a tyke up to the age of 30-35 or so if he wants to be. Don’t rush people into adulthood. They’ll have plenty of tyme for being adults somewhere around 40-45 or so.

Tom, you are so right. Many summer rental mayhem house violations have been paid by their next “party payment charge” at the door!

#9 It happened to my relative. He is in jail. Ok so? He made a bad mistake and he is paying for it. His own fault…not society’s fault.
