Mayor Matt Doherty and his council cronies sure showed their cards as they advocated for Epic Construction over the needs of Belmar Taxpayers.

Unfortunately More of the Same 7:57 and on..Citizen Ehmann with a few last words. I did post to a liberal blog. Dave Schneck being a proud libertation is classically liberal. Anti government are folks that are anarchists. My post mirrored in abstract ways the concrete
in fact demonstrations by socialist-left( big government) groups over the past four years. Unlike their actual protest designed to attack and intimidate by using social media to give out private information to arrange organize protests in real time and real place. Having enough bulling for one day by the mayor and minions, released public information from the phone book and asked the question,” maybe we should meet at Mary Brabazon’s home for a Q & A. Not really a wild west call for a lynching. I look forward to public admonishings by the mayor. It’s a substantial measure for whether my communication has been received. In the future I would prefer those responsible admit their transgressions and apologize.

This is not what the people want to hear.
I smell a big rat. My people want to know the truth from me about my business—taxpayers want to know the whole truth about what the hell is going on.

I doubt Tom reads this blog since doing so would be giving in to modern technology and participating in the behavior of the “lazy youth of today” so please tell him that under Roberts Rules someone that seconds a motion does not have to vote in favor of it. one could second out of courtesy to the one making the motion. I only know this because I have time to research these things since I sit in a cubical all day and thereby add no value to our society (according to Tom’s latest letter to the Coast Star)

Seafood festival has become way too big, no locals from any neighboring towns go anymore. The mayor needs to move it to The month of May, when it’s good weather town is less crowded and could be a good kick off to the season, or just give the event to Asbury Park

Propane tanks everywhere this is a disater waiting to happen.

Father’s Day weekend – THANK YOU MAYOR FOR MAKING US TRAPPED IN OUR HOMES ON FATHERS DAY WEEKEND…MWE LIVE HERE, WHY DID I HAVE TO CANCEL PLANS FOR PEOPLE TO COME OVER .. BECAUSE I KNEW THEY COULD NOT PARK WITH 5 blocks of our 4th ave home… We are HOME OWNERS …STOP CATERING TO BUSSINESS AND START CATERING TO THE TAX PAYERS!

There’s a little problem with Mayor Matt Doherty’s math, at 0:23:55 in your video the Mayor compares the low cost of borrowing to that of a home mortgage. In his comparison he equates the total borrowed for the pavilions (principal and interest) to a mortgage by citing this example: $100,000 borrowed at 5% interest over 30 years would yield “all your payments in total, maybe $120,000 to $125,000, somewhere in that range.” The fact is Mr. Mayor, in that example, the total payments would be $192,256 – that’s a whopping 54% more than you state. And you call yourself a Certified Financial Planner? Is this the type of math that was used to calculate the total price of the pavilions at $7,000,000?

Go Fish – Businesses over Taxpayers? The businesses get-out-the-vote for Mayor Doherty-Moran (especially certain bars in town) and they also have found creative ways to wheel money into his campaigns.

Belmar is a tourist destination and that’s what we are all about. As taxpayers we are supposed to get on board and welcome all with open arms. Doesn’t make a differance if they behave like animals. Suck it up.

Interesting comment posted to the 6/20/2014 Asbury Park Press article on the special election: “I have never seen reported the obvious reason the Mayor wants the early election is the same reason the Governor didn’t want a special Senate election in November. They both did not want to have a group of concerned voters for one side voting at the same time they would be running for office, they feel that many of the group will vote against the question and then vote against them also. Separate the elections and dilute the opposition in November. They both feel getting elected is the overriding concern. Sadly this is politics 101.”

Good for Mr. DeSanctis it shows the difference in class. Some people have it and some do not.
