Don’t wonder “Why the special meeting?” ….
Borough Council will rubber-stamp expansion of the redevelopment area at the October 4th meeting …. to boost political campaign investor confidence before election day.

The WHOLE town is an area declared for rehabilitation – that includes Inlet Terrace. Looks kinda nice over there. What could be “better”? “Someone” just invested in another house there. Why change a good thing, even potentially down the road???

Do you trust ANYTHING the mayor says? I surely do not.

The townhouses, if that is what they are, are on Terrace Road, but WHOLE town (borough) means all of it. Give him a hand, then he will want the whole arm. If some developer presents the mayor with a lucrative project from which the mayor can profit, how do you know that your area of Belmar will be safe? Gravy is gravy, however obtained, like, for example, any probable payback from the $400,000 excess awarded to Epic over the low bidder on the 5th Avenue Pavilion. If Belmar as a whole is so in need of rehabilitation, why did the mayor move here, except to profit?
