Spending Watch

I know it’s only a couple of hundred dollars but is it really a gift if you make someone else pay for it?

Not sure what chief this was for but I’m guessing it was for former fire chief Tucker Brendle. Thing is he retired last January.

The fire chiefs are rotated among Union, Hook and Ladder and Goodwill. the head chief this year (2018) comes from Union, the 2019 chief comes from Goodwill and the 2020 chief from Hook and Ladder. Each head chief serves three terms one as 2nd assistant, 1st assistant and 1 as head chief. this watch will go to the current head chief from Union.

Thank you for the clarification. So do we buy a watch every year?

Dave. I’m not sure if it is a yearly purchase. However, the watch is a small token for the years of service and dedication to our community. our volunteer fire officer’s are highly trained and experienced.
