#4. First of all, the main marina building was demolished. It did, in the past incorporate the Fisherman’s Den owned and operated by our esteemed Chief of Police. If you go down to the Marina, Fisherman’s Den is still operating. People actually do care, more than you know, about changes, proposed changes to the Belmar Municipal Marina.

So what happened to these DEP cases, the other issues were know since 2013 and only became emergent 6 weeks ago to get a bond through without a public bid process.

The below is almost verbatim from the Boro engineer’s report several weeks ago to get the bond.

    New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection Case Nos. 99-05-27-1505-14 and 99-11-29-14-36-00; and (ii) repair and
maintenance of the fuel line that traverses the Phase II Redevelopment Site; and (iii) repair and
maintenance of the bulkhead that is situated on the Phase II Redevelopment Site.

#8 & 10 To date Belmar has not gotten the permitting for bulkhead repair near Marina Bldg. Block 98, Lot 1. Such would include U.S. federal permit. Regarding except from 9/2/10 Is there a signed copy of this agreement with the Belmar Clerk? For the record:Cecile Murphy email to Martha Sapp both DEP. Dated Feb. 19,2015 ” We have a new application for Maclearie Park, which appears to be adjacent to the marina, but no existing open projects. We previously FUNDED the acquisition of Maclearie Park ( pre-1972 ) and two phases of the park’s development ( final payments in 1990 and 1988 ). Thus, it appears our office was not involved in the improvements that are the subject of the Notice of Violation.

We have not given them an at-risk letter for their pending project.

1972, ancient history. No will ever remember those hazy, days of Jim Howards accomplishments.
