Sunday Brunch

Wikileaks provides locals some food for thought.

You’re all aware of the astounding revelations unearthed by the Wikileaks’ Podesta email leak, or at least I hope you are.  It’s been somewhat in the news lately.  I decided to do my own search of the Podesta files to see if any local Democrats are in any of the emails.  The search of “Matt Doherty” produced one result.  Apparently the campaign was asked to consider a pre-primary Sandy-themed visit with Matt:

Surprisingly Maggie wasn’t directly involved in any of the Podesta emails but she was cced on quite a few of them.  Here she is let in on some great news:

Monmouth County Democratic chief Vin Gopal is in a few of the hacked emails.  Here he promises 100,000 primary votes for Hillary and her allies (out of the 102,000 registered Democrats in the County.)

Just on a lark I searched to see if Matt’s summer fundraiser guest, New Jersey Senator Corey Booker, is mentioned anywhere.  I was astonished to learn that he is described by Podesta in an email as a member of one of the “food groups”  of potential VP choices.  I’m surprised this email hasn’t gained attention nationally:

So let’s see…you got your salsa food group, your ladyfingers, your crackers, your soul food, your Army mess, and your corporate power lunches.  And then there’s Bernie.  Not sure if he’s the sole member of your matzoh ball food group or if he’s just plain old Bernie.  In any case Tim Kaine was supposedly already given the nod last year in exchange for stepping down as national party chair so Debbie Wasserman Schultz could take over and cheat for Hillary.  Maybe Podesta was unaware of it.

But in a related story…

Anticipating the coming opening of the new Taylor Pavilion, Belmar officials have just awarded a lease for the restaurant portion of the building.  Given his taste for umm…eclectic food, some are speculating that Mr. Podesta may have had some influence in the decision.

I’m beginning to think that Matt’s wife isn’t just a “housewife” like Brian Magovern once stated.

Nor is Matt’s wife a “power broker”, as Magovern stated. How could he be so clueless? Wait, that’s why he is on the council.
