Ugh, let the deluge of tourists begin
How anybody applauds this behavior is beyond my understanding.
Any idea why this recreational building is finished and the rescue building isn’t? It’s half the size isn’t it?

Hijacked for jobserved nothing new it’s the costs of working to allow the “bosses” to wet their beaks. Did you ever see the paid by union members dinners that shop stewards or reps get? Or the lavish trips that the go on?
The signage appalls me. It really should reflect ALL of Belmar; the residents FIRST with the town (paid) DPW, cops and others who work very hard to maintain civility and help make this happen. The Mayors name SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS BANNER! I suggest it reads; ‘THE RESIDENTS OF BELMAR WELCOME YOU’.
Let us not forget the tribulations we tax paying home owners who live within the vicinity of the Seafood Festival endure.
TRUE: Walking back from Friday’s – “Local Night” my wife and I experienced an abomination that was witnessed by many other locals. It stopped all of us in or tracks. For a man to be called a ‘Cracker’ and being delivered ‘F-bombs’ by an understandably stressed angry woman driving and searching for parking spot is not my idea of festival. All this man was trying to do was to per-empt and direct her to a road that was not closed off by Belmar-PD.
I purchased my home (close to St Rose) about 17 years ago. This was a neighborhood where you could leave your front door open. This rule no longer applies. I have too many stories of mischief and mayhem since then.
Let’s move this $hit show to Monmouth Park or the Sea Girt Army Camp. Enough already!
