Seems shortly after Sandy a number of reputable clean-up companies contacted the New Jersey State League of Municipalities offering their services at a price much lower than AshBritt. One estimated the cost would be a third of AshBritt’s price.
First was an outfit called Ceres:
“Ask them to work for AshBritt”:
Also, Byrd Brothers offers to help at a much lower price:
And they want equal treatment, which, of course, is a problem.
They are offered to get on the (inflated) state contract:
Maggie says to hook them up with AshBritt too:
Another problem is that Maggie wanted AshBritt/Conti to have an ad on the homepage of NJSLOM but they only carry ads in their monthly print edition.
How about calling it an advice column instead of an ad?
Bill Dressel “not sure how to handle”:
“OK”
“Help! Mayors calling (to recommend competitors to AshBritt).

NO MATCH FOR Maggie: I have had most of these emails for a year and a half now. What amazes me is how NJLOM caved in to Moran’s pressure. Especially Lori Buckelew, their quote “attorney” The League takes public money ( which is why we could OPRA these telling emails of 11/7 and 11/8/2012. After the exhaustive conversations in Belmar about”limiting competition”,we have a non-profit for State League that serves municipalities doing the bidding of Moran for her client Conti for untold financial gains. What is so sad is I seriously doubt that the League of Municipalities has learned any lesson from this.
Honey how was your day at work ? Sorry, I can’t tell you- that would create a conflict of interest.
Based on these emails it appears that Maggie Moran was involved in every aspect of Ashbritt being getting hired by towns. Are people to believe this doesn’t include Belmar ?
VERGOGNOSO !!!!!!!!!!
Jenny, what is a pimp?
Hmmm…I heard that Ms. Moran used Borough employees to pimp Ashbritt to Avon, its neighbor up the coast. How audacious is that! Shameful.
