#1 How would that work? You think an app could print you a badge? Please elaborate. This needs a way above average explanation.

So what is the rate per hour that Belmar is now charging to park? Will they still stop charging for parking after 7pm?

Seems like they are targeting D’Jais customers by chagrining extra for parking when it was normally free for all after 7pm. That does seem like discrimination in a sense

#6 … the only reason Belmar must share parking revenue with the beach utility is because Ocean Ave is the only pay public parking in town (the public advocate said it targeted beach goers)… When Belmar establishes pay parking in other areas it can keep all revenue, including Ocean Ave.

10: Bingo Gene. The question still stands however. Who divides the net income earned from 7am to 5pm money, i.e., 40/60 split?
6pm to 2am goes to Belmar 100% net?

About these parking “apps.” I’m exempt from paying for public parking in NJ. Does the app know my car? How do you get a ticket? I have a device I hang on my rear view mirror like a disabled marker that shows I’m exempt from paying for public parking. The phone # in the Coast Star is not helpful to me.

#15—Are you sure you are exempt from public parking?

If you have a Purple Heart or a Disabled Vet then it’s ‘metered’ parking, not public parking.

How does the scanner read Purple Heart Disabled Vet status? Do you have to register with Park Mobile via phone? If so there is no human and there’s NO option selection for Purple Heart Disabled Veteran exemption direction. Oh that is correct no Veterans at Park Mobile, plus
