The Mayor seems to be fine with Merri-Makers pre-booking every Sat. from May to Oct in 2018. Oh that’s right, they didn’t take the hottest months July and August. Big of them! He doesn’t see this as a problem? Well the voters do, and I hope they let him know come election day!

How is Merri makers allowed to solicit on the beach?? I was sitting on 7th Ave and was approached three times asking if I wanted to see a menu for Cruz Bay. I watched them bother other beach goers too.

Inasmuch as everything in Belmar is “For Sale”, and, any sense of civic pride is gone …. the Borough can auction off the naming-rights for the pavilion …. just like MetLife Stadium or PNC Arts Center.

If Merri-Makers wants to use Taylor in their advertising …. make ’em pay.

I think we should put together a fundraiser…maybe at Boat House, to raise the money to book every weekend going forward, and the people of Belmar, who paid for the pavilion to be built, will decide who get’s to use it!

Folks including this blog admin. discounts the mayor’s promises back in 2013 because the planned new Taylor would be two story. Well, please notice that he never promoted the second floor or any use for contracted banquet facilities. Never Please someone OPRA emails between Connolly and Merri-Makers Spring 2017. Chances are she solicited their contracts! There has ben 0 reference to Merri-Mkers- EDISON, NJ, Chef’s owners-Lombardis EDISON NJ and Matt Doherty, EDISON NJ.. There are 565 municipalities in NJ. What are the chances that lightning strikes the same place 3 times?

Actually Ted, I did note in the original post about Merri-Makers that they and Chefs were both from Edison. I also recently published the 2013 promises and the 2014 promises from their own “vote yes” ads. I was just saying that when they made the 2013 promises they envisioned having twice as much floor space.
